Annotation

NeuTu allows you to annotate an individual body (body annotation) or add a point annotation at any location.

A body annotation is a set of information that describes a body, such as its proofreading status and its neuron name.

A point annotation is associated with a unique location. There are several kinds of point annotation:

  • Bookmarks: this category is mainly for flagging an interesting location or something that should be examined later.

  • Todos: they are similar to bookmarks, but mainly for proofreading purposes as the name suggests. Unlike bookmarks, they are associated with bodies.

  • Synapses: synapse annotations, including pre-synaptic (T-Bar) and post-synaptic (PSD) elements.
